The signature product of the Ah-Lai Bo food series, made using only Yilan’s famous “oval kumquats” simmered in rich sugar syrup. Kumquat trees are the first fruit trees planted in our farm, a symbol of our history and tradition. This brand story together with owner Chairman Chang Ching Lai, whom had to drop out of school at a young age as his family was poor. However he was resolved to study on his own, and prepared diligently for the civil service exams. He worked his way up the ladder of these exams to even passing the most advanced level, then gave up his plush white-collar lifecycle, and returned home to build a leisure farm of his dreams. His “never give up” story is the best inspiration for young people to go after their dreams.
